HASSAN NAJMAN MUHAMED
DIRECTOR

Dr. Hassan Najman Muhamed, a dedicated Assistant Professor at the University of Duhok, brings his expertise in silviculture and functional community ecology to the forefront of the University of Duhok Botanical Garden. With a keen focus on natural forest regeneration and the preservation of endangered plant species native to Kurdistan, Dr. Muhamed has been instrumental in establishing and directing the Botanical Garden. His leadership encompasses strategic development, operational management, team leadership, grant writing, and the development of engaging community educational programs. 

HONAR SAFAR MAHDI
HERBARIUM MANAGER

Dr. Honar Safar Mahdi, a researcher and assistant professor at the University of Duhok, brings his expertise in biodiversity conservation and ecology to his role as Herbarium Leader. With a background in urban ecology and natural regeneration, Dr. Mahdi oversees the collection, management, and preservation of plant specimens within the University of Duhok Botanical Garden's Herbarium. This vital role ensures the organization, documentation, and utilization of plant specimens for research and educational purposes. 

AHMED M. H. M. MAHMOOD
GARDEN PLOTS MANAGER

Mr. Ahmed M. Hassan Mustafa Mahmood, a scientific researcher and lecturer at the University of Duhok, brings over two decades of experience in forestry and wildlife conservation to his role as Garden Plots Manager. With expertise in ecological field surveys, protected areas, and ethnobotany, Ahmed plays a crucial role in overseeing the care and organization of the University of Duhok Botanical Garden's plots. His responsibilities include planning layouts, coordinating planting and maintenance activities, and implementing strategies to enhance the garden's aesthetic and ecological health. 

REZAN KAREM MUHAMAD

BOTANICAL GARDEN MONITOR

With a background in physical education and sport sciences, Mr. Rezan Karem Muhamad brings a unique perspective to his role as a Botanical Garden Monitor. He oversees and coordinates the efforts of workers and volunteers, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the garden's plant collections. His expertise in organization and management contributes to the overall success of the Botanical Garden project.
